Neil Miller
Neil is a member of the Youd Andrews Senior Executive Network supporting the ‘C’ level Business Simulator programme. Since joining the network in 2016 he has worked with us on over twenty clients and sixty engagements in Europe, US and India.
Neil has worked in enterprise sales for over thirty five years in global industry and consulting organisations. He enjoys using his experiences to coach account teams in how to establish relationships at senior levels within enterprise customers. His functional domains of expertise are analytics, customer management, direct marketing and managing culture and business change.
Neil started his career in 1985 working for an asset financing subsidiary of Lloyds Bank in sales, account management and sales training roles. He joined GE Capital as Sales Training Manager in 1991 and worked in the UK and US on various GE change programmes, including becoming a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt in 1996. Neil joined Anderson Consulting (later Accenture) in 1998. He spent fourteen years, ten as a Partner, building and leading CRM and Analytics practices in the UK and Ireland, Europe and globally.
He led CRM and analytics practice teams of up to two hundred and thirty consultants and sold and delivered transformational projects for many large enterprise customers across industries.
In 2012 Neil joined the Executive Leadership team of the open source R analytics software business, Revolution Analytics Inc. Neil’s role as Managing Director International was to establish Revolution Analytics in EMEA and drive sales growth for the international business across EMEA and APAC. Within two years “lighthouse” sales at enterprise customers had been closed in the UK, Germany, Nordics, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. In April 2015 Revolution Analytics Inc. was acquired by Microsoft and Neil supported the integration of the Revolution Analytics proposition and team into Microsoft’s Advanced Analytics group. Neil left Microsoft in December 2015 to pursue his career as an independent consultant.
In addition to working with Youd Andrews on the Business Simulator programme, Neil works on consulting projects with Manifesto Growth. He is a C-Suite advisor and subject matter expert on data, analytics, customer management and process improvement projects related to customer growth
